Volunteer Role Description

As a volunteer for the Kingsport Public Library renovation fundraising campaign, your role will include engaging local businesses and community members through door-to-door outreach. You will provide information about the library’s renovation plans, the importance of community contributions, and how they can support the project.

Expectations and Responsibilities

Review the provided Volunteer Guide and other documents.

Respect the privacy and preferences of all individuals and businesses approached.

Accurately record and report any pledges or interest shown by community members, and securely handle donations received.

Adhere to all guidelines and policies provided by the Friends of the Kingsport Public Library, including those related to safety and conduct.

Confidentiality Agreement

Volunteers must maintain the confidentiality of any personal or sensitive information they may encounter while performing their duties, and agree to not disclose such information to any third party.

Liability Waiver

I understand that the activities associated with this volunteer role may involve interactions with the public and other risks. I hereby release and hold harmless the Friends of the Kingsport Public Library, the Kingsport Public Library, its staff, and its agents from any claims, liabilities, or damages incurred as a result of my participation in this project.
